Release Note 2014

DHI WaterData

Welcome to DHI WaterData Release 2014. In this Release Note you will find information about new features of DHI WaterData, and what you need to know in order to install and get started with Release 2014.

DHI WaterData is the common denominator for the DHI WaterData portal ( and associated services. The DHI WaterData portal is a data repository, which allows you to search for, and download data for water environments. Some datasets are provided free-of-charge, whereas other datasets may be provided on commercial terms.

In the MIKE by DHI Products, DHI WaterData is a front-end for the DHI WaterData portal, which allows you to search for and download data relevant to your modelling system in a model-friendly format. Some processing may however be required to fit the data for your specific purpose.

* Fully supported operational systems are systems that have been tested in accordance with MIKE by DHI’s Q&A procedures and where warranty and software maintenance agreement conditions apply.

** Non-supported but partially tested operating systems are systems, which are not officially supported by MIKE by DHI. These operating systems have only undergone very limited testing for the purpose of MIKE by DHI software, but the software and key features are likely to work. When installing MIKE by DHI software on a partially or non-supported operating system, warranty and software maintenance agreement conditions do not apply and installation occurs at the user’s own risk.

Please note that single user installations are not allowed on server operating systems. Also, when running a fully supported operating system as a 'guest operating system' on a virtualization platform, it is automatically downgraded to a partially or non-supported operating system under the conditions provided above.
